Work full-time while completing your degree

Keep your employment as and continue to work full-time at a Nevada public or charter school and earn a paycheck while going to school.

Zero out-of-pocket cost for students*

Thanks to generous grant funding, we are proud to offer the program and all courses at no cost to students who qualify.

Accelerated coursework and program flexibility

In as little as one year, students complete up to 60 general education credits required for an NSHE bachelor’s degree completely online. Students then become eligible to begin the Undergraduate Apprenticeship.

Continuous support services

Students receive concierge support and success coaching to help smooth the path along the way to reaching their academic goals.

Do I qualify?

You may qualify for RSA if you:

*Applicants not currently employed in a school setting must gain employment as a paraprofessional or school support professional in a Nevada public or charter school to be eligible for the Undergraduate Pre-Apprenticeship Program. 

How does RSA work?

1.

Apply to unlv UAP program

Students apply to the pre-apprenticeship program via the Undergraduate Apprenticeship Program (UAP).

*In the UNLV Admissions Portal, choose “Start a UAP Application” — this will ensure that you apply to our program and that your documents are reviewed correctly.

2.

Application & Transcript Review

All students’ transcripts and prior coursework (if applicable) are reviewed during the application process. Students who have not yet completed all general education requirements begin in the Undergraduate Pre-Apprenticeship Program.

3.

complete General education Courses

Depending on the courses needed, pre-apprentices will be enrolled in 4-week blocks of courses to complete all outstanding general education requirements.

begin Undergraduate Apprenticeship Program (UAP)

Once all general education courses have been successfully completed, students roll into the next cohort of the Undergraduate Apprenticeship Program

Students who applied by the February 2025 deadline should expect more information regarding their application later this spring.
