Fast Track Your Teaching Career

The Nevada Forward™ Graduate Apprenticeship Program in Teaching (formerly known as A-ARL) was a fast-track program for career switchers with a bachelor’s degree to become licensed Nevada educators.

While the program is not currently offered, we are proud to have supported more than 600 students on their path to teacher licensure in the state of Nevada. 

Work full-time while completing your degree

Designed for students looking to apply what they’re learning in real time — Students earned their ARL license, began working in a classroom, and completed their degree while earning a paycheck.

Low-To-No out-of-pocket cost for students*

Thanks to generous grant funding, we were proud to offer our program at low or no cost* to students who qualified.

Accelerated coursework and program flexibility

Students completed all required coursework to earn a degree and completed the requirements to apply for educator licensure in Nevada in a single year.

Continuous support services

Students received concierge support and success coaching to help smooth the path along the way to reaching their academic goals, as well as continued support for three years after completing the program.

Graduate Apprenticeship Timeline

1.

Apply to Our program

Students apply via Grad Rebel Gateway during open application cycles. 

2.

Application & Transcript Review

All students’ transcripts and prior coursework are reviewed during the application process. Your transcripts cannot be reviewed without applying.

Completed within approx. 3-4 weeks of submission — Students are asked to keep an eye on their emails for updates!

Complete your first semester + Get your ARL LIcense

Students who complete their first semester of coursework will earn an Certificate that enables them to apply for an ARL License through the Nevada Department of Education. This license enables students to be employed as a teacher of record in a classroom for the duration of the program.

4.

Employment in an nevada school

After earning your ARL license, you are required to maintain full-time employment as a teacher of record in a classroom while completing your program. This will allow you to earn a teacher’s salary while completing your degree.

Employment is a Federally mandated requirement of the Apprenticeship program.

5.

Complete Coursework

Depending on the courses needed and academic program, students will be enrolled in 4- and 8-week blocks of courses to complete all program and licensure requirements.

Typically, 3-4 semesters of coursework to complete — Our team enrolls you in everything you need!

6.

Graduate & Continue teaching

When all courses have been completed successfully, students graduate with a master’s degree in their program area. Many students continue to serve in the positions they had during their program.

Students are required to pass any required competency exams within three years of program completion.
