The Nevada Forward initiative — also known as NV|Forward — is a collection of grant-funded research and educator-preparation programs housed within the UNLV College of Education.

NV|Forward epitomizes a commitment to redefining the landscape of teacher preparation programs for the today’s generation of aspiring educators. Our endeavors spearhead the transformation of conventional approaches, creating innovative pathways in teacher education that cater to the diverse needs of every student.

At the heart of NV|Forward lies a suite of programs that extend access to apprenticeship-based, classroom-embedded, and alternate route pathways. These initiatives cultivate community-centered educational experiences, nurturing a diverse set of future educators deeply immersed in and dedicated to the service of Nevada’s unique communities.

While housed at UNLV, NV|Forward’s programs serve ALL students across the state, not just those physically located in Las Vegas. We are proud to offer hybrid and remote programming as well as partnerships with many of the state’s 16 counties.
